Call for Papers: submission deadline October 26

The UCLA Center for the Study of Women | Barbra Streisand Center’s invites graduate students to submit their call for proposals for the 36th Annual Thinking Gender Conference. We hoped you might be able to share our call with your audience.

The conference is free to apply to and attend and will take place April 16 and 17, 2026.

Thinking Gender is an annual UCLA interdisciplinary graduate conference that features work by emerging scholars. The 2026 conference theme is “Feminist and Queer Ecologies,” exploring how ecologies and environments are shaped, understood, and struggled for in relation to sex, gender, and sexuality.

This year’s conference will provide an invaluable opportunity for activists, scholars, organizer, and artists committed to advancing interdisciplinary and intersectional feminist scholarship.
